[DWB] Step 6: Set Up Your Autoresponder

It’s now time to set up your autoresponder, one of the key tools that will enable you to build a substantial monthly passive income using the internet.

The Email Address You Use On GetResponse Is Very Important

If you are serious about creating a substantial monthly passive income using the internet, you will need to have an email address that is linked to your own domain name.

You will need to register a domain name and create an email address associated with that domain. Free email addresses from Gmail and others will affect your email delivery rates significantly. You don’t want your email messages getting blocked by spam filters.

You can authenticate your domain name by modifying your domain’s DNS records. This action ensures that your messages are delivered and that the GetResponse domain doesn’t show next to your sender information.

The process for doing this is to use DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM).

The above video provides information on how to go configure DKIM for your email address. It is really important to get this done and use a professional email from an authenticated domain of your own.

You can use an email address that is linked to your blog domain name. This will also help towards branding you most importantly improve your autoresponder follow up message delivery rate.

Create A List On Your GetResponse Autoresponder

The first thing you need to do is to create a list in GetResponse. All your subscribers will be added to this list.

You can create multiple lists on GetResponse, but I would suggest that you stick with one until you are earning a substantial monthly passive income.

Create Follow Up Messages On Your GetResponse Autoresponder

Once you have created a list on GetResponse, you will be ready to add follow up messages to this list. Subscribers to your will get these messages, and you will be able to specify when they get each of the messages.

Once your follow up messages are set up and the delay durations are specified, they will get send out automatically.

Create A Landing Page On Your GetResponse Autoresponder

Once you have created a list and added follow up messages, you will need to create a way for people to subscribe to your list and receive your follow up messages. You can do this by creating a landing page that people can use to fill in their name and email address to subscribe to your list.

I would suggest that you link your landing page to a brand new domain name. This will allow you to easily promote your landing page using social media and other online marketing tools.

I have linked my landing page to getyourwealthbuilder.com, you will need to change your name servers to point to GetResponse. There are instruction on GetResponse on how to do this. GetResponse will also add SLL to your domain.

Create A Lead Capture Form On Your GetResponse Autoresponder

You can create a lead capture form to place on your blog sidebar and selected pages to get more subscriber to your list.

Once your blog starts to get a large number of visitors, subscriptions from the lead capture form will also start to increase. I would recommend that you place one on your blog sidebar so that is visible on all posts and pages. You can also place it on specific posts and pages with a call of action to get subscribers.

I have create a simple form that you will be able to find on the right hand sidebar of my blog. You can play around with the web form designer to create your own lead capture form.
